Vedrana Gnjidić

Vedrana Gnjidić graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb with an MA in German and English language and literature (Affektive Faktoren und Erfolg im DaF Unterricht; L2 English and L3 German vocabulary learning strategies).

A student paper written by Vedrana Gnjidić and Ana Rihtarić “How frequency and word class affect reaction time in semantic decision tasks” was awarded the Rector’s Award (University of Zagreb) in the academic year 2014/2015. 

In November 2018 she enrolled in the interdisciplinary postgraduate doctoral programme JEKON – Language and cognitive neuroscience at the University of Zagreb. She defended her PhD thesis Native language processing of cognates in general academic vocabulary in multilinguals on the 30th of January 2023 (supervisors: professor Anita Peti-Stantić, PhD; professor Marijan Palmović, PhD).
